"The staff seemed to really know what they..."
The staff seemed to really know what they were talking about, and I appreciated that. To be fair, it may have just been a busy moment, but the interaction felt a bit rushed. Overall, they were helpful, just not quite as relaxed or thorough as I would’ve liked.

"A bit expensive for what it is"
I guess I was just expecting a bit more for the price. The timber seemed fine overall, but it didn’t really feel much different from what I’ve seen at cheaper places. Maybe I caught them at a pricier time, but it just felt a little overpriced to me. Probably wouldn’t be my first choice next time.

"Easy enough, which is more than I can say for some places"
I ordered some timber online and, to be fair, the whole thing was straightforward. The prices looked reasonable, checkout didn’t turn into a mission, and I got the updates I needed after placing the order. Makes you wonder why other companies make this sort of thing feel so difficult, but no complaints from me here

I ran into a small issue at first, which was a bit ridiculous, but to be fair they got it sorted quickly. Overall, the experience ended up being fine.

"Delivery took a bit longer than I hoped"
I ordered from shawfieldtimber.co.uk and the delivery did turn up, just not as quickly as I expected. It wasn’t a huge problem in the end, but I did have to hang around a bit and chase them for an update. The timber itself was all fine when it arrived. I’d probably use them again, but only if I wasn’t in any real rush.

I’d already checked a few places and was starting to get a bit fed up, but Shawfield Timber actually had the sizes I needed in stock. The website was easy enough to check before I headed over, which made the whole thing less stressful. Not every piece was absolutely perfect, but I was just glad it wasn’t a wasted trip. Happy enough overall and I’d use them again

I had a question about my order and, they got back to me fairly quickly. The person I spoke with was helpful and got it sorted without making it a big deal. I’m giving 4 stars because I did have to follow up once, which was a little frustrating, but overall it was a good experience...

"Found everything I needed in one go"
I was trying to sort out a small job at home and really didn’t fancy ringing around loads of places to check timber sizes. Ended up on shawfieldtimber.co.uk and was pleasantly surprised by the range. I found the timber I needed, plus the fixings and a few other bits, all in one place. The site was straightforward to browse, which made the whole thing much less of a faff. I’d happily use them again

"Arrived late and I wasn’t really kept in the loop"
The delivery turned up later than I’d been told, and there weren’t many updates along the way. The timber itself seemed fine, from what I could tell, but the awkward bit was not knowing when it was actually going to arrive. Might’ve been a courier issue or something, I’m not sure, but it made it hard to plan around.

"Hard to Get a Clear Answer"
I was hoping this would be straightforward, but the communication just wasn’t great. I’d ask a question and then end up waiting around without a clear reply. This is where it got annoying: I had to keep following up just to get basic information. It felt like I was doing all the chasing, which made the whole experience more frustrating than it needed to be

"Timber quality could’ve been better"
The boards showed up rough, and a few were badly warped. Because of that, they were harder to work with and didn’t feel like great quality overall.
